Your first visit to Woldingham is unforgettable. The magic of Marden Park, its long wooded tops and its sweeping slopes, unwinds to reveal the gem at its heart – the school in its magnificent country house, nestling alongside state of the art educational facilities and alive with the creative energy of over 500 girls.
Woldingham School is a Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. It was founded in 1842 by the Society of the Sacred Heart, with a legacy of Sacred Heart principles and values. These values focus on respect for intellectual values, a sense of community, social awareness, the importance of personal growth and the development of an individual Christian faith.
We are proud of our beautiful facilities, our academic rigour and our achievements. A Level and GCSE results are well above average and the school is committed to supporting and stretching each girl academically, whilst ensuring that she has a fulfilling life beyond the classroom.
The School is set in an impressive 700-acre estate within the Surrey Downs, close to the M25; the train station in our grounds provides a 35-minute connection to central London. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are 20 and 45 minutes away respectively and junction 6 on the M25 is only ten minutes’ drive from the School.
In short, Woldingham aims to be a caring, inclusive and supportive Christian community in which girls are happy, confident and inspired to meet challenges and achieve excellence in whatever they choose to do.
